TEDDY PENDERGRASS DEAD AT FIFTY-NINE by Iman Lababedi

Teddy Pendergrast, one of the greatest soul singers of all time, has died of colon canvcer at the age of fifty-nine.

The great man who came out of the Philadelphia sound of the 70s with harold melvin and the Bluenotes, went solo and forged a brilliant solo career.

The voice of “Love T.K.O.”, “If You Don’t Know Me By Now”, “Turn Off The Lights” and with Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes.

I’ll write something more thorough later on but I saw him live twice and I gotta tell you, the female fans were so vorocious I feared for my life.
