The Ready Set released the song "Paratrooper" for free download. That's three new songs of his that he's just giving away. At this rate, it'll be a good chunk of the album.
The song really really reminds me of the artist "Nickasaur!". The similarities are absolutely parallel. Even down to the tone of his voice, it could easily be mistaken. I'm a bit thrown off. I expected some really clear and clean vocals, more instrumentals, and an overall more catchy beat. However, this is not what i got. Instead it was gritty, and almost an auto-tuned gritty sound for vocals. The techno was a bit overwhelming. It just felt really…off.
It doesn't sound like The Ready Set and I'm not quite sure if I like it or not. It doesn't seem to fit with the other songs that he's released recently and I just can't get into it. The tune simply isn't what one would expect from TRS.
