X Factor is coming back. The UK import backed by lipless Simon Cowell (seriously, where are his lips?) has been a mixed blessing for Fox. Thursday nights are now the top Fox night for that all important 18-49 age range.
According to Mike Darnell, the Fox president it’s a ‘no brainer’ to renew it. The only drawback is that the projected advertising dollars fell quite short. Simon had promised a viewership of 20 million, the show actually roped in 13 million as average.
Fox reimbursed the advertisers for the shortcoming- and America can be pacified with mediocrity again next year.
