Beastie Boy Ad Rock is all grown up  Having already fought for his right to party ( and winning) he is off to more mature matters, so to speak.  Ad Rock who's real name is Adam Horovitz will take on a new role and theatrical composer.

In conjunction with The Barefoot Theater Company and East 3rd Productions to compose the music to the off-Broadway production Gloucester Blue

This is the part that gets adorable,  Glouster Blue was written by Israel Horovitz, Adams dad.  A seasoned playwright whose works includes Park Your Car in Harvard Yard, Rats, The Indian Wants the Bronx and Line (now in its 39th off-Broadway season).

Gloucester Blue is described as a dark comedy about a man who returns to his home after an extended period of absence with prevalent themes of “sex, murder, revenge…and sex.” and partying?

The production is part of The Barefoot Theatre Company’s “Stripp3d” series, “A  festival with three new plays and an added bonus,”  will run from Nov. 16 to Dec. 3 at the Cherry Lane Theater in New York City.
