It's right around the corner! One of the best 'rockumentarys' I have ever seen! X "The Unheard Music" was the film being shown prior to performance on the bands most recent tour. I had the very distinct pleasure of seing the film with club speakers and gritty atmosphere but I am so very excited to see it at home where I can actually hear more of the spoken parts.
Due Dec. 13, the special edition release of “The Unheard Music” will feature the film in HD for the first time, with a new film transfer and a 5.1 Surround mix. Extras include a “25th anniversary dialog” with John Doe and Exene, behind the scenes footage from 1983 and an outtake of a live performance of “Some Other Time.”
I reviewed the film, interviewed Exene, and reviewed their show. I still (exactly one month later!) and riding the incredible high this show gave me. This band simply is growing greater with age. Every X fan should get this film or borrow it or download or stream or whatever it it- its a rocket ship back in time. This film will take you back to when you were cooler, thinner hipper smarter and more fabulous than you will ever be again.
