Why should Bono shut up about being irrelebvant: U2 are the worst big band in the world, they make the E Street band look like Titus Andronicus, they are this big ugly monstronsity making self-indulgent and crappy albums for the past decade and they won't go away,
More Bono: "We have so many (new) songs, some of our best. But I'm putting some time aside to just go and get lost in the music. I want to take my young boys and my wife and just disappear with my iPod Nano and some books."
The Edge adds, "It's quite likely you might hear from us next year, but it's equally possible that you won't."

Taking time off to play with his kids who are nearing their twenties and play with his Ipod Nano?? Does anybody believe this shit? Perhaps Bono and Chris Martin can have a battle of the most fake humility. I think Martin would win, somewhere in the back of his mind, Bono probably realized he's an egocentric bore but martin is just baffling unbaware that everybody knows he knows he is a big time rock star.
