$17,000 Sex Pistol Sale

$17,000.00 was the winning bid for a Sex Pistols record, "God Save the Queen" (1977 A&M AMS 7284 Promo Record), received 37 bids, before it sold on eBay for *$17,179 on October 1, 2011.

The record contains the contraversial song "God Save The Queen" recorded in 1977 by the infamous British punk band.  Just a handful of copies were pressed as promotion before the band left A&M for Virgin Records.

Another, Sex Pistols vinyl (a UK 7" cut onto 10" one sided Townhouse acetate) sold for approximately *$23,000, earlier this year.

For some reason this makes me really happy- it's the ultimate swindle.
