Ryan Adams Instantaneously Sells Out Hollywood Forever Cemetery

Following a fast sell out of Carnegie Hall On the East Coast, Monday it was the West Coasts turn to get it in the neck.

So who got a ticket for Ryan Adams at the Hollywood Forever’s Masonic Lodge in Los Angeles????

Too many people announced it on twitter, facebook, music blogs, I saw it an hour before they went on sale, and, totally excited in front of my computer, I was refreshing the ticketfly page every 3 seconds,… when I saw the magic ‘Buy’ box appearing, it was already too late! I got the message ‘We're sorry, all available tickets are currently in other shopping carts. Please keep trying, they may soon become available.’

How is it possible that all tickets were already bought in a flash of a second?? Well the venue is pretty small, and the guy hasn’t played a full set in the US for almost 3 years!

Of course, it did not take long, scalpers are already re-selling tickets on eBay like this idiot who wants $799.99 for 2 tickets: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-RYAN-ADAMS-HOLLYWOOD-FOREVER-MASONIC-LODGE-10-10-TICKETS-LOS-ANGELES-LA-/160647554750?pt=US_Tickets_all_in_one&hash=item25675726be

How is he hoping to sell will-call tickets which can only be retrieved with an ID!!… he says ‘This is a will-call only show, our reps will meet you at the venue and let you in’!!
Our reps? Who does he think he is? Re-selling $40 tickets for this exorbitant amount of money, I would rather like to punch the guy in the face than meet him.

And were they trying to be ironic? Hollywood Forever Cemetery sent another email about the show, more than two hours after the actual sale, … yes thank you for letting me know.

Anyway, Ryan Adams is touring in support of his 13th album, ‘Ashes & Fire’ out October 11th via PAX-AM/Capitol, three years after his last ‘real’ album ‘Cardinology’. After the break up of his band the Cardinals, Adams is playing solo these days, with just his guitar. I wonder how many love songs for Many Moore are on this new album, … but another girl, Norah Jones, whom Adams considers like his ‘kid sister’, sings on three songs, 'Come Home', 'Save Me' and 'Kindness'.

Here is the tracklist:

1. Dirty Rain
2. Ashes & Fire
3. Come Home
4. Rocks
5. Do I Wait
6. Chains Of Love
7. Invisible Riverside
8. Save Me
9. Kindness
10. Lucky Now
11. I Love You But I Don't Know What To Say

One last thing, I read on a blog there will actually be two Ryan Adams shows this week in Los Angeles, but the second one may be private, so my hopes are pretty low.
