You have to love the girl for her direct double talk. Despite appearing on the cover of the UK edition of Vogue, Adele declared to the magazine she would not want to be the face of a major brand:
‘I don't want to see me plastered everywhere. If they offered me £10 million, I'd be like fuck off. Besides if I was going to be the face of anything it should be the face of full-fat [regular] coke.’
She may be sincere, but we’ll talk about it in a few years or months… It is not as if she hadn’t changed her mind before! Last May, she had these words about playing an arena:
‘…You think I'm gonna play a fucking arena? Are you out of your mind? …The thought of an audience that big frightens the life out of me. I don't think the music would work either. It's all too slow.’
But recently, she made a complete U-turn, declaring that ‘too many people want to see my shows…. This is the last time you'll catch me at a venue like this. These will be my last theatre dates as I'm moving on to arenas’
Yes, we’ll see again in a few months.
