So a man named Robert Lyons murdered his mother because she didn't get him tickets to see Avril Lavigne.
He's been convicted of first degree murder. His mother Linda Bolek refused to ask her friend to see if Lyons could get skybox tickets to see Avril. He became increasingly agitated. He hit her in the head with a champagne bottle, then stabbed her repeatedly afterwards in the back. Then he called his friends and said she threatened him with a knife and struggled back to save himself.
A few hours later he was arrested in Schaumburg, Illinois at a Hooters restaurant.
His defense attorneys argued that his mother threatened him with the knife and he killed her unintentionally.
He faces up to life in prison.
