DJ Tiësto headlining the ‘largest single DJ event in US history’ in California

I know almost nothing about DJs, but this is announced as a big deal by the LA Times: Dutch DJ Tiësto will be headlining the ‘largest single DJ event in US history’ on October 8th in Carson, CA. Wow, really? The largest?

The event will take place at the Home Depot Center, a multiple-use sports complex with no less than 27,000 seats (the Vans Warped Tour is actually held in the stadium parking lot every year).

That will be DJ Tiësto’s last stop for his 'Club Life College Invasion Tour', which included 21 dates. Joined by Diplo, Dada Life and DJ Porter Robinson, the Dutch DJ recently declared:
'I can't wait to play Home Depot Stadium,'L.A. has always been such a welcoming city to me and it's been a while since I've played there, so to be able to finish off the college tour with such a great show is really special.'

And just to admit even more my total ignorance about DJ stuff, this guy has sold over 1.3 million tracks in the US, ‘has had 15 albums on Billboard's Top Electronic Albums chart, including the No. 1 'Elements of Life' in 2007’, and I had never heard about him
