You cant have a two minute conversation with some people without it turning to music. Often, in these conversations you'll stumble across a song that just hits you in the head.
How the heck did I forget how much I love this song? I remember as a young Bach Dancing on the dining room table singin 'timezoneUHiatimezone" ala Lydon. Yeah, thank God there was no Youtube back then.
This collaboration is one of the most profound lyrically and musically. Merging a past prime punk with an Bronx born hip hopper. Weird really in 1984. At 17 this song was a rally cry. A nod to politics without much substance went along really well with the Anarchy crowd (who really weren't sure what Anarchy was but it sure sounded dangerous)
I love the two voices and I must give a shout out to that hard hittin' cowbell. This song is wonderful on a dining room table or a conference room table.
