There is a great line in the film When Harry Met Sally (one of my all time faves by the way) in which at the stroke of Midnight Harry turns to Sally during the playing of Auld Lang Syne and says…
‘All my life I never knew what this song meant- are we supposed to remember the people we forgot and if so how do we remember them if they’ve already been forgotten….’’ New Years Eve ya gotta love the disco glitter and blow horns, oh and the hats!!!
Personally it’s never been a big one for me. I’ve done the whole Times Square thing running through stopped traffic and leaping hoods of cars to get there.. For what? To watch a ball drop? I’ve been to house parties and ballroom black tie events, they do nothing for me. I’m ok with just getting a new calendar.
A couple years ago the Magpie was on MTVs New Years Eve special pretty cool to see her rocking out with All Time Low and The Academy Is. Her national TV debut. The best part of that though is watching her dance around to Kevin Randolph.. Yeah whatever happened to his career? I gotta dig that out and play it again.. classic fun!
But now what?
