MFT – 7 – 16 -11

1. Skyscraper – Demi Lovato – Sure, it is heartfelt. So is an attack of the gout. If she wants to prove that eating disorders are a battle, that is OK with me. I am sure young girls of a certain persuasion appreciate it and need it, but this song is just the worst. An overblown, overwhelmed pop ballad.

2. Da Pa Lo Do – Rita Indiana – Like "Ping Pong" it has a slap about feel to it and unlike some of the other songs on the album, it is intensely playful.

3. Air – Hair Soundtrack – Bless you alcohol bloodstream, indeed! The new Broadway production is a road one!  Translation: their are empty theaters.

4. Sun Is Shining – The Fireman – Do we expect too much from McCartney? I mean, those of us who don't pass water for him at Rolling Stone? This has some of the ambient beauty of Mark Knopfler in soundtrack mode. And some of the boredom. Actually, it would work better as an instrumental.

5. The Son Without A Name – Tiny Tim – A true eccentric but a gentle spirit and this is a wonderful song. The album itself is very very good. This is a vaudeville turn that echoes thru decades.

6. Winnie The Pooh – Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward – Why not She And Him?

7. Trouble On My Mind (Feat Tyler, the Creator) – Pusha T – A sorta news of the state of the rap, but still minor compared to Goblin.

8. What If – Colbie Caillat

9. Suicide – Paul McCartney – If he plays, has played, this, I will personally FLIP OUT!

10. Hot Fun In The Summertime – Sly And The Family Stone – Featuring Bootsy Collins, and considering how many people have downloading the track off rock nyc, still popular.
