Creem magazine is coming back. The magazine most famous for its irreverent content and the sounding board of the infamous Lester Bangs is set to hit the newstands again this fall.
According to reports the presses will roll mid to late September
“We just feel the timing is [right],” said Jason Turner, board chairman of Creem Enterprises Inc. “There’s so much amazing music happening today, but there’s no filter, no curation happening. We think Creem is a great brand to do this under.”
Agreed. Right now there is no real rock magazines around. Rolling Stone is a joke, Spin is a sell out. The internet makes it even tougher for paper mags to survive, Creem has a great nitche', old timers such as myself will appreciate the 'scrappy' content newbies can finally read a real rock magazine. Im pretty excited. Wonder if Circus will follow?
