Well The Strokes have gotten mixed reviews on their latest album Angles. Festival tours in rapid succession have helped to keep them in the news and acquire more fans- hopefully.
As I have mentioned, you either love or hate the band. There is no inbetween, and this love/hate can change in an instant if its me being asked.
What I find interesting is the announcement of a new single, "Taken for a Fool," featuring a B-side duet version of the song with the legendary Elvis Costello.
We all know EC showed up at the NYC concert, heck rocknyc was there to see it happen and it appears the both The Strokes and EC are hanging on to each other like a buoy in hopes of keeping their careers afloat. Honestly both could do better.
But it will be nice to hear Julian and Elvis, but something tells me theres going to be alot of production work. I cant imagine the voices complementing eachother at all.
We shall soon hear, the single will be released on July 26th.
