Rhino Records plans to reissue the first four Ramones LPs-1976's Ramones, 1977's Leave Home and Rocket to Russia, and 1978's Road to Ruin-on 180 gram vinyl. A great thing for the purists out there. I actually still own my Ramones vinyl. I never listen to it but there is nothing better than album art.
Heck there was a time when that was the only thing hanging on my apartment walls- and it looked way cool. The first 500 repressing of the records will be packaged with a blue 7-inch containing a single from its corresponding album: "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend" b/w "California Sun/I Don't Wanna Walk Around With You" (Ramones); "Swallow My Pride" b/w "Pinhead" (Leave Home); "Sheena is a Punk Rocker" b/w "I Don't Care" (Rocket to Russia); and "She's the One" b/w "I Wanna Be Sedated" (Road to Ruin).
Another very cool bonus.
I love Rhino records they do some of the most innovative things. The Ramones reissues will be out on July 19.
