Holy smokes MORRISEY!
Three songs streaming in anticipation of this European tour. "The Kids a Looker" is a freaking great song that just made me want to sing into a hairbrush. This thing will get screamed out of my car without a doubt.
Recorded at BBC2, we're damn lucky we can hear this. We get ripped off in the US, and there is nothing more frustrating to me then when I forget my love for a band or musician. Hearing them again makes me thrilled to rediscover and makes my present playlist look like shit. Honestly can you compare X, Morrisey, Black Flag, Fear and Big Audio Dynamite to Alesana, Art Brut and The Arctic Monkeys? (and I just noticed they all start with A!)
Anyway, Morrisey has 3 songs, "The Kid's a Looker", "Action is My Middle Name", which is very pretty and melodic intro leads in to an almost old Jam sort of sound, and "People Are The Same",which I find the most bland.
I want Morrisey to come to the US and I want Iman to take me to see him and pay for the tickets and buy me lots of swag. Just sayin'.
We write so often of Morrisey's eccentricities, the whole Animal Rights thing the Vegan the cynic.. but lets never ever forget Morrisey the amazing singer. What a set of pipes.
