"The Feel Again (Stay)", Blue October Reviewed

Never much a fan of the soap opera genre I find it often painful to voyeur into peoples lives.  Everyone has their burdens their 'crosses' so to speak.  We all have had loss and disappointment, sorrow, pain and more.  Some of us release this in gyms or on highways or by kicking and screaming or retreating or hiding.

Blue October paints a billboard of words and naked and shameless throws them on the ground in front of you.  Raw brutal emotion (happy or sad) never less painted embossed or illuminated.

This is one of the reasons I am such a huge fan.  I have a morbid curiosity for what's next.  Justin Furstenfeld publicly discusses his illnesses, and uses his music as release.

The latest single "The Feel Again (Stay)", will never be a radio hit.  This song will not chart top 10 it will not be played down at the local and for all intents and purposes will not skyrocket their career.  I dont think Blue October is looking to be a stadium band.  I think BO are here to give some people an outleft for the burdens of their own emotions.

The video below couldn't be more raw.  There is no sexy lighting there is no gimmick.  A lip syncing front man void of visual emotion emoting through this song.  Its uncomfortable, its painful.  Is this going to win fans and influence people?  Nah, but it will touch every Blue October fan deep in the soul.
