So Buju Banton was found guilty of to conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute cocaine and is up for sentencing on June 23rd. He is facing fifteen years.

The reggae great was on a plane and started talking to the person in the seat next to him. Started bragging about what Banton now says was FICTIONAL DRUG DEALS to a federal informer. Who ratted him out.
This is all queasy stuff. Fifteen years? For what?
The drug laws are a farce and an excuse to jail black people. All drugs should be made legal immediately. What business is it of the government how I chose to kill myself. Tax it, rid the jails of prisoners (the US has a larger percentage of its citizens in jail than CHINA, than SYRIA, than ANYWHERE… what the fuck?), rid the police of bullshit work. Enough already, policing people for drugs ain't working. Move on.
And in the mean time, Banton is asking for leniency. Give it to him.
