The King Is In His Counting House by Mike Nessing

King Crimson –In The Court Of The Crimson King (2009 reissue)

Re-mixed by Robert Fripp using the original first generation master tapes. These tapes were thought to be long lost. Even the original vinyl never sounded this clear. There is no sound loss due to the multiple overdubs, and all audible hiss is gone. Every nuance, every passage has been lovingly restored. This thing should come with a warning sticker if listening on headphones because now more than ever it has the power to shock, frighten and inspire.

Iman and I once had an online discussion contemplating the single greatest record. His choice was “Are You Experienced?”- At the time it was hard to argue with such a good choice, but I’m going to go with this puppy right here.

There is also a 5.1 surround sound mix out that I haven’t heard yet, but I’m practically drooling in anticipation over it.
