As Iman mentioned it a month ago, there is a Buddy Holly tribute on the way: On June 28th, Fantasy Records and Concord Music Group will release ‘Rave On Buddy Holly’ a 19-track covers of some of Holly’s classics interpreted by many rock stars from Paul McCartney to Julian Casablancas. But if he was not exactly excited about these new covers of Buddy Holly’s classic, this may change his mind, or not…
A few of these covers have already appeared on a few websites, but Fiona Apple and Jon Brion collaboration on Holly’s ‘Everyday’ can be streamed on Seattle radio station '107.7 The End' website, it’s the first song of the program.
It’s pure ear candy, although I have to say I am a little bias when it comes to Fiona Apple, but she is so rare these days:
