Michael Jackson's Thriller Jacket For Sale

Look at this famous red leather jacket! Of course you recognize the iconic, legendary jacket made famous in the ‘Thriller’ video! Michael Jackson was wearing it when he was dancing with these zombies, the ones who terrified a generation of children in the 80s.
The jacket survived Michael Jackson and is actually for sale at the Music Icons auction later this month in Beverly Hills: a pre-auction having estimated it between $200,000 and $400,000, ouch!

The jacket has been said to be ‘the most recognized and significant piece of pop culture’ by auction administrator Darren Julien. The Associated Press is reporting that Jackson autographed the piece of history as a gift to his costume designers, Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush, and wanted them to use it as a template for his future concert fashions.

There are tons of other music memorabilia for sale, items owned by the usual suspects, like Elvis Presley, Sinatra, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Kurt Cobain, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen or Madonna; but if you focus on Michael Jackson, you can also buy the wig he was wearing when he announced his ill-fated ‘This Is It’ concert series in London. Not as glamorous!

Whenever you have that kind of cash or not, you can always take a look:
