Thus PC goes officially insane!! Not here, for once. But in the Isle of Wight -a small island off England where Simon Ledger was arrested on "suspicion of racially aggravated harassment" because two Chinese people heard him singing "Kung Fu Dancing".
This is pretty hysterical stuff though perhaps for Simon who had to be bailed out.
I think the question here isn't why two busy bodies, presumably music loves but…, would waste their time, but why the cops would waste their time.
The isle of Wight is lovely but rainy and boring (it is a long time since Jimi Hendrix played there!) so maybe the problem is nobody has a damn thing to do and the cops have to keep busy while waiting for an arts festival or two.
On the other hand, arresting somebody for singing "Kung Fu Dancing?" Maybe swift as lightning but certainly not swift on the uptake.
