Amanda Palmer is a Tweet a holic who tweets her every move "brushing and flossing!", "calling my shrink".. but tweeting that you're about to perform a "Ninja Gig" in Amsterdam Square is really rather ridiculous.
First of all Amsterdam is chock full o' hipsters- so you knew if you tweeted they would come
Second you knew full well the police would get involved for improper gathering
Third you knew you'd get more publicity and a few 'right on, outta sights' from your flip flop wearing fans.
So you got what you wanted and you raised your arm in victory as they escort you away. When will Amanda figure out she is so incredibly beautiful and talented, so intelligent and artistic that shit like this just waters her persona down to common huckster. I guess I'm not her fan base, I'm out of college I have a mortgage I have a retirement plan, so to me its just pathetic to seek out publicity by getting busted. But hell it worked.
I think her demographic is the private university Junior or Senior who is up their ass in student loans, talks about Obama and protests carbon doesn't shave and most likely is a public vegetarian that snarf slim jims in the back room. Yick.
Amanda- get back with Brian, pump out some proper Dresden Dolls and forget this little quarter life crisis, its unbecoming at your age.
