Ya gotta have a boatload of balls to take an a classic like The Smiths "How Soon is Now" . Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith think they had the mojo. Apparently Panic is performing this on their latest tour. When I heard they were covering this I was rather excited. Urie has an amazing voice and although I had no idea who would take on the keyboard I knew enough that this had tremendous potential.
And it did

I will cut them some slack its live and home recorded so I'm not looking for Dolby digital sound here. Gorgeous intro fantastic musicianship and a great start on the lyrics. Somehow Brendon got a bit tangled up in his falsetto and couldn't get back down. At certain points he's almost doing the puberty squeak. Yikes, not cool But again this is live and it started ok- maybe they should roll tape and take 11 or something cuz it does have potential- its just not on this video.
