My Fave Tracks, Thursday April 28th, 2011

Uptown – Roy Orbinson – The early rock giant with that voice at the top of his powers. There is a Monumental singles collection I am thinking of investing in but I own so much of it, I may just pick and choose.

2. Perform this Way – Weird Al Yankovich – Pretty good parody mocking Gaga's eccentrics though it is waiting on a  video, even more than usual, to signify.

3. Electric Blue Monsoon – Poly Styrene – A farethewell, done to perfection. Perhaps the prettiest song Poly ever wrote as she wonders if the color of heaven is such a specific shade of blues.

4. John (feat Rock Ross) – Lil Wayne

5. Unorthodox – Rap 2011 – It is a real weird one and I am not sure if it because it is weird or because the K-Tel crowd are fucking it up.

6. Make Some Noise – Beastie Boys – Yeah, I streamed the album. Yeah, they can still do it. Question is do I want them to.

7. Till The World Ends (Femme Fatale Remix) – Britney Spears – I'm thinking…

8. Lonely Are The Free – Steve Earle – Hmmm, this is losing steam fast. Well, actually, the song is a dull piece of crap with no steam that Earle can dictate while taking a bath, but  much of the rest of the album is losing steam on me. It can't all be T-Bone's fault. Some of it, yes. but not all of it.

9. The Great Curve – Talking Heads – Man, is this a killer track.

10. Missing – Eliza Doolittle.
