Does Rolling Stone Use Ghostwriters?

Still busy turning rebellion into money, Stone has famous musicians writing about famous faves.

Having read Costello's liner note to his early album re-issues , I could certainly believe he could snap out an overview of the Beatles but Elton John On Eminem? Robbie Robertson on Dylan? Even if they could, why would they? Much more likely if they answer cquestions from a writer who drafted it. It's the moral equivalent of Bobby Sherman writing "My type of girl" for Tiger Beat (hint: she has to have a sense of humor)

Plus, and this is a killer question (no don't thank me), I wonder how much they got paid for their participation and… if you're paying rock stars to write for you, where do you draw the line?
