Stopping the Silence Of Stun: Helen Bach puts what we try and do in words

Rock NYC’s Helen Bach on the subjective nature of music criticism

Cross the line writing about a girlfriend’s  abortion in a music post about a Ryan Adam’s ?

No of course not, there are no lines.

We write from our hearts were not textbooks nor are we ‘objective’ in anyway. If you want that theres wikipedia or something. Band drummer singer stage.. meh.. whatever.

I can speak for myself when I say I bleed music notes. Music to me is not vibration its the whole enchilada. I consider myself the most emotional one here, Im a freakin sap.

To not carry depth of emotion makes you a droid, and if thats in no way what Rock NYC is going to hand you. Nor should it. I would hope those who read can partake and relate to each of us in some way. I chimed in at the end of your writing to stop the silence of stun.

We have, again in my opinion become a family. Its our duty as a Team Rock NYC to protect eachother. I took shit for the Haste the Day review and you had my back. You show your soul on Thanksgiving I crack a joke. Its how we roll its what we do.

As for deadlines- theyre just as much self imposed. With enthusiasm comes sense of obligation and excitement to share. Those who write here are passionate, in every way.

And anyway that Ryan Adams song kicks ass…
