After the first song, "Will Do" streamed out of my life with very little riesidual effect, I was getting a little nervous the newbie, Nine Types Of Light, the new TV On The Radio might be a woofer.
But the second release, the excellent "Caffeinated Consciousness", gives me all the hope in the world it is gonna kill.
The first verse is a hard rhythm sing speak, the second verse, a gorgeous melodic pop rock song, and by the end of the song the two have merged into another song entirely. A"A bed of roses" becomes the echoey upfront for another melody. a union of two sounds to a unified whole. that improves both. . Smart, eh?
Very clever. Very cool.
ps? the album drops on the 12th and the Radio City Music Hall gig is the 13th! Some planning there guys!
