Who knows maybe something at the Town Council meeting. Look at these guys. No longer ‘Beast’ and no longer “Boys”, The Beastie Boys are set to release their 8th studio album this spring.
Delays caused by DJ Adam Yauch cancer diagnosis kept Hot Sauce Committee Pt 2 from dropping in September. That’s OK though we all have time and nothings greater than knowing Adam is on the mend. Again we’re hit with the are they too old for this question. There are genres that transcend age, this is not one of them. It becomes just as embarrassing as The Agnostic Front. Its time to let it go, mentor and produce. Pop starts have a bit more longevity they can go mellow into Easy Listening but if I saw these guys singing “No Sleep Til Brooklyn” I’d figure they were asleep in their arm chairs with the remote in their hand.
I could be wrong, this could be amazing. But the odds of that are very slim. Its a last scream. Its a polite applause. We’re glad health wise these guys are up and running but the rap masters now look like accountants and insureance adjusters and I dont think the kids are gonna party hardy with their pops.
