Sir Paul and The New York City Ballet

When is it time to tuck it all away and maybe go horseback riding?  When is it time to pack up the car and head to the sunset?  Apparently never. Case in point Sir Paul McCartney he adores fame.  Now about to embark on a collaboration with the New York City Ballet.

Why?

When you have done it all do you just keep going til you tip over?  When everyone considers it an “honor’ to be working with you, its you that has to draw the line of what you’ll do.  Endorse a shoe?  Endorse vegetarianism, beer, paper, electronics… where does it end?

I cant see this being anything mroe than gimmick but it will get some to see a ballet.  I cant see this being more than an ego stroke for Peter Martins, the creative directof of NYCB.
  “I worked with McCartney!!!!”

The show titled Oceans Kingdom will premiere on September 22.

In an interview with The New York Times, McCartney said the show was a love story based in two fantastic worlds – the “pure” ocean kingdom, and the earth kingdom with its “sort of baddies”.
He explained that when earth meets water, love happens, and “you’ll have to see whether the couple make it”.
“The sheer athleticism is the most astounding thing. It’s like a meeting of the Olympic games and art, and I find that fascinating and challenging for me, to see what can be done.”

A load of crap that will have the high brows oozing with praise.
