American Idol sucks. For some reason they keep trudging along like a past prime lounge act. Remember the early days hype? AI swag from t-shirts to candy to trading cards. Families hunkered down like it was the freakin moon walk and the office cooler was buzzing the day after. Phrases like “nailed it” and “cmon dawg” became everyday speech. “You’re going through” and “America voted….” were the words Joe American sat at the edge of his filthy LayZ boy recliner to hear the verdict on.

In an effort to capture more audience you can now cast your Idol votes online via Facebook. Facebook is going to be Googles Wife pretty soon. Two power brokers, they should merge and take over the world, Googlebook or something.
Regardless, you can still vote via text or phone but now if you are in the US, Puerto Rico or Hawaii, g’head Facebook it up. Apparently they have wanted an online option but it took Facebook to make it ‘secure’. I consider this a last gasping breath..hopefully
