Queen: 40 Years Worth of Swag

Queen is one of those bands people love or hate.  I loved them up until “The Game”.  I considered that to be pop radio crap and shunned them.  Before that though holy crap talk about unique.  Sheer Heart Attack one of the best albums of all time.  I cant believe that a release from 1974  still gets weekly air time in my car.. Serious longevity.

Perfect segway to the announcement of “Stormtroopers In Stilleto’s” a museum exhibit of the bands foramative years.  Themed rooms display memorobelia of the bands early days and feature artwork, costumes made by Zandra Rhodes and the band’s instruments, and a recreation of the studio in which Bohemian Rhapsody was recorded.  Pretty cool indeed.

Of course, the exhibit is in London so forget seeing it if youre not there.  Unless of course we can get this to travel.  I’d love to see some of that stuff if only to read the ancticdotes.

Brian May and Roger Taylor put together this tribute, claiming it reminds them alot of Freddy Mercury. The charismatic lead singer who passed away in 1991.  Well, theres a shocker.

“Once you come into this exhibition you realise that we were just boys and we got together with a dream. We worked night and day for many years and we were very lucky,” said May.
