Books-Harper-Lee_Horo

Books: Between novels, I am quietly circling “Go Set A Watchman” -all I’m hearing is making me undecided whether I can stomach a racist Atticus Finch or why I would want to. Reading it must be like meeting a close friend from High School on Facebook and discovering he is now the chairman of the local chapter of the NRA.

Recorded: The extended version of the current  Laura Marling has me scratching my head, or it would if I could bother caring. Otherwise, the Sly live in 1968 is sooooo good, and is that the first take on “Take You Higher”? Oh and the Miles Davis Newport Box Set is one of those if I had another set of ears ones.

Live: Next weekend: Titus Andronicus on Saturday and U2 on Sunday. How exciting is that, right?

News: Four soldiers killed by a lone gunman in Tennessee -let the Jihad begin.

Local: The Governor of New York and the Mayor of New York City aren’t speaking to each other -what is this? The Brady Bunch?

Sports: Yanks won thanks to an A-Rod home run and listen here: there is no way on earth this guy is medicining up, he could never ever get away with it -that’s all. The Mets lost.
