Public enemy Chuck D tweets a lot, just visit his account, and Twitter is a great but dangerous tool, you can either be celebrated or trashed with this thing, quotes can be taken out of context, and the worst can happen.
Stereogum has a post ‘Chuck D defends Bill Cosby’, and I say they didn’t read exactly what Chuck says, because this is not exactly what he is doing. In a few tweets, he gave his opinion about the Cosby rape affair – and if you were in a hole these past months, let’s just say that about Cosby is accused to have drugged and raped about 36 women. Chuck is not defending Cosby, but I more or less agree with a few of his points.

Here, he has a good point, America is mourning the Cosby show because everyone discovered Bill Cosby’s bad behavior… but shouldn’t we always separate the art from the artist? However, it’s not easy to do in this situation since Cosby had become Dr. Huxtable, and the show had even his own name! He was this lovable character. If we should burn at least half of our record collection, based on what we could learn about some artists, I am still uncomfortable with any art coming from serial rapists or murderers. And his comment regarding the money received by institutions because Cosby made big charity donations? It’s tricky, but why should they return it, it’s a separate issue, this money is not dirty per se, he was not making money from his rape habit.

He is probably referring to the fact that the Cosby show is regarded like the plague now and not desirable on any TV Channel? I just have a problem with Chuck’s comparison because Cosby was precisely preaching morality all show long, so that’s a big difference with Spector or Gaye’

And I agree with that, Hefner should be investigated too. But may be half of Hollywood celebrities should?
