Spotify’s End Game

Taylor Swift Pulls Albums From Spotify
Dead App Walking

Spotify claim Universal will make ONE BILLION DOLLARS in revenue if they resign with them.

Universal have their doubts?

Eh?

This is the end of the road for the $8B streaming company SPotify, if they don’t renew their Universal deal they are done for, put a form in em  and through away 100s of millions fo dollars.

This is what happened.

1 – With three years in which to solidify their paid subscriber base they fucked around and didn’t do it. What was needed was a long hard advertising oush to get themselves past their tech young base and to everybody else. Instead of taking advertising out in Brooklynvegan and Rolling Stone, they should have aimed for the heart of middle AMerica with a long concerted Television oush, airing millions upon  millions, sticking on a 1 800 number so people could reach em and could be installed as well as walked through downloading the app. They should have been everywhere you turned, making it impossible for Itunes to do what they will will do next year, if Spotify doesn’t have a Universal Records. Which is crush em like a fly with “IPlay”.

The question is the same as to why Taylor Swift left Spotify, the advertising generated free plan. ITune’ “IPlay” won’t have it because they don’t need it, they have 800 Million clients with credit cards already. Spotify won’t give it up because they will lose their subscriber base and never bothered to improve their position when they had the playing field for themselves.

To put it simply, no Universal deal Spotify are dead.
