Jesse Smith And Mom

Mama Patti we all kmow right? But what of Patti (and Fred’s) daughter Jesse? Do we know her? Well, I don’t but mother and daughter are performing together at Le Poison Rouge on March 27th (a FRIDAY!!!). for a charity of sorts: “Presented by NPO Honzo Haven, “Hands On Live” is a charity concert to raise funds for “TERAKOYA,” a new naturopathy clinic/workshop to be built in the upstate Catskill Mountains.”

Naturopathy? “Naturopathic medicine is a distinct primary health care profession, emphasizing prevention, treatment, and optimal
health through the use of therapeutic methods and substances that encourage individuals’ inherent self-healing  process.  The practice of naturopathic medicine includes modern and traditional, scientific, and empirical methods.”

Yes, repeat, no. But as long as they are happy!

Meanwhile, what does the daughter do? “JESSE PARIS SMITH is a composer, pianist, and multi instrumentalist. She performs globallyin multiple configurations, including Tree Laboratory- her music production company with Eric Hoegemeyer, specializing in sound and music for film. Her compositions have been commissioned for art installations, book soundtracks, and live film score performances. She is a graduate of the Sound and Music Institute, trained in integrative practices of music and sound therapy. She is on the Associate Board at Tibet House US, curating a weekly event called Mindful Music and Sound Series and is a regular participant of the Tibet House US Annual Benefit Concert at Carnegie Hall. She also co-curates and hosts Talkingstick, a monthly true storytelling and music event at the Rubin Museum of Art. In September 2014, with cellist, Rebecca Foon, she launched Pathway to Paris, a year long event series and online portal, focused on innovative solutions for climate change.”

Personally, I think if Jesse really wanted to stir stuff up she’d join the GOP but chance would be a fine thing and since I don’t know Jesse’s music and i do know Patti’s music, plus, I wouldn’t mind having nature heal me, this might be worth the price of admission: Buy tickets here.
