There are so many things that look wrong with this picture that I don’t know where to start! Courtney Love and her daughter Frances Bean Cobain showed up at the premiere of the new Kurt Cobain documentary at Sundance and warmly embraced each other … So is this Dave Grohl hugging Courtney Love at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony all over again? Apparently mother and daughter are in good terms again, and I will never understand why people forgive everything this woman does! Things didn’t seem to be doing so well not so long ago, first Love lost custody of her daughter in 2009 when Cobain was just 17, and she was sent to live with her grandmother, then, a few years ago Frances accused her mother to have killed her pet, a judge had even granted a restraining order to prevent Love to come too close to Frances. Two years ago it was all about bad beef between the two and suddenly it is a love fest? Plus, just look at these pictures of the two published by Eonline, not only Love seems to lean on Frances to stand up — but what else is new?– but Frances looks awfully thin and emaciated! Jeez, look at her legs, this is not a healthy look, and I don’t want to start any rumor but there’s something going on with her and it goes beyond her Moschino-crime-scene dress! But why all this love suddenly? If you look at pictures of Frances hanging out with her mother when she was younger, she looked so different and so indifferent to her mother, almost bored and annoyed to be there, so what happened? She is the visual artist and executive producer of ‘Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck’, and may be she wants her mother to get involved? Or it this the reverse? Courtney Love absolutely wanted to get involved and reuniting with her daughter was the only way to get there… Did Frances drink the Kool-aid?
Strangely, it was revealed that the omnipresent Dave Grohl is absent from the documentary, and I don’t buy the excuse provided by director Brett Morgen, who said that Grohl was interviewed earlier this month but it was too late to be included in the premiere. ‘We had a locked print and trying to re-edit a film with a new interview in 10 days is kind of difficult’, said Morgen to Billboard. ‘This is the picture I wanted – I didn’t want there to be a lot of people in the film’. Still it looks strange that Grohl was not included in a documentary about Cobain, couldn’t they have interviewed him earlier or did they forget about him? But may be Love was behind this decision, … Who knows, she is a control bitch and will forever be.
