Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows released a tune called “I’m The Rehab, You’re The Drugs”. I’d been cunningly avoiding these boys, because after I heard their second release, I felt that they were going downhill. After listening to this song, their eighth release, I’ve realized that this song is stunning.
Owens doesn’t use his annoying high pitched whiny boy voice, and the instruments are tight and commited. Instead of mainstream conformity, my biggest fear for these guys, they’ve gone above and beyond with “I’m The Rehab, You’re The Drugs”. I was definitely proven wrong. The drive, catchiness, and beat are just enough to make me fall in love with this band. I’m glad that they’re getting into their own little niche and creating unique and fantastic music.
