Sean Lennon & Charlotte Kemp Duo The GOASTT , Touring in Spring

Midnight Sun is the name of the new album.  Due out April 29th, Sean and Charlotte are back with the epitome of art rock.  In this painful nine minute video we see a mind at work…and its pretty creative.  I love the cheapness and campy acting, sorta like a bad 70s film.  The tune, ” Moth To A Flame” is a pleasant enough noise, filled with twitters and slides.  The problem with this genre is that entire songs sound like intro’s.  Waiting for the lyrics to start gets painful, they aint coming.  And similar to being on constant loop- it seems to never end.  Which is why the nine minutes are painful.

Great political commentary and imagery, and you cant help but love Seans over animated placement but who will love The Goastt?  Well if touring with The Flaming Lips and Tame Impala (back in 2013) is any indication of their audience, you already know.

As mentioned Midnight Sun is what we’re anticipating and of course- a tour!  Yup, after a pit stop at SXSW they hit NYC for  a May 5th show at Rough Trade.  Then off they go up and down the states returning to the east coast in June.  By the way Goastt is actually “The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger” a title of a short story written by Kemp (Seans long time girl friend). Their artsy sound can be heard on their four albums- four?

The greatest part of this entire piece?  I’ve made it to the end without mentioning how scary similar Sean looks..I just cant place who he favors.
