Well its raining Green Day again. Yesterday I mention the glory of the live release and today I get to announce that American Idiot will soon be made into a movie, starring none other than Billy Joe Armstrong as St Jimmy.
See, this doesn’t surprise me since BJA needs to hang on tight. 40 is right there and hes hoping his aging heartthrob looks will translate to a film career (hello Marky Mark?), but he changes his name to Bill Armstrong or something similarly lame.
The Broadway production sure didn’t set the Thespian world aflame, it got a bit of a nod but numerous writers on this site alone found it… weak?
All the more reason to make a film. Then you can get the corn dog Midwest in on the action..they still love Green Day cuz they’re a little slow.
