Generation Indigo is a new age, new generation of children (apparently they are following the Violet Generation, which makes me a member of the yellowish green), and it is also the name of the eagerly eagerly awaited new Poly Styrene album, dropping March 28th.
We toldja about “Black Christmas” last year, and now you can stream song # 2 “Thrash City” and it is again, a syncopated nursery rhyme which seems like a different type of germ fress adolescent. The guitars sound like they are varieating on reggae, but the rhythm isnt’t the same, it is not a million miles away from what the clash to reggae at the start of the machine.
Poly sounds like if she can stop nya nyahing she can unginge, but there is a control here.
Pretty fucking awesome if you ask me and if I can figure out how to buy the mp3 it’ll be on my fave tracks for a long time to come.
