Mary Magpie and I are vegan.
Alyson is a vegetarian.
I think the boys here are omnivores.
I consider myself the most militant. Ive tattooed the word ‘Vegan’ on my inner wrist. Every hand shake, every time I reach my right wrist exposed will tell you what I am.
Friends of mine joke they want do write the word ‘bacon’, on theirs. I find it hilarious. I go to lunch with them, they eat what they like, I eat what I like.
They wear leather maybe fur cuff, they use cosmetics of question.
I don’t.
We still catch still hang out.
Now I may offer a recipe or a video or a bit of a preach now and again but to me its just a ‘hey guess what’ not a ‘listen to me or you suck’.
I have been arrested more than once in my efforts to fight for animal rights, not sure about Alyson but the Magpie has not… well not yet. The boys, well I doubt it, alot.
What I’m getting at here is Morrisey.
I adore him I love The Smiths and I even like his hair.
But hes a bit out there, cuz if you don’t agree with him he doesn’t want you to be his fan?
Morissey and Johnny of The Smiths have gone on record condemning Prime Minster David Cameron for being a fan.
Lets isolate that,
they have condemned him for being a fan.

There is alot to be said about standing by convictions.
There is alot more to be said about ‘live and let live’.
Would I invite Cameron to my house? No.
But was a I raised properly enough to say thank you or nothing at all? Yes.
I understand honest I do finding it hypocritical to accept compliment from something your opposed to.
If the NRA decided to give me an award for my writing here I would decline.
If Bob, who happens to be a member says ‘yo nice post’, I’d say thank you.
How about getting down off that soapbox, recording or touring and spreading the POSITIVES of your chosen lifestyle rather than coming off as an elitist fuck bag.
Just a thought.
