Malcolm Gladwell claimed it takes 10,000 hours of working at something to become an expert.
Let’s say I didn’t listen to a song for my first 22 years and have averaged 10 hours a day since -just to simplify and round up the numbers. In reality I listen to music non stop from 5am in the morning till at least 7pm at night every single day… which is more like 14 hours a day (longer when I’m going to a concert). But I’ll let that drop and just work with the round up.
22 to 54. 32 years. 356 days a year, 10 hours a day equals 3560 hours a year over 30 years (fuck the 2 years) comes to 106,800 hours and counting.
Which means I am an expert times 10.
So fuck you and listen to me because I know what I’m talking about.
