I love Four Year Strong. They’re as New England as The Patriots and their fans are tougher than that football team could dream of.
Last December we went to Worcester, MA to see the fuzzy men on their home turf, and I’m not going to kid you it was a damn rough crowd. I wont even count the drunk guys who fell on us by accident and the others who slurrrrred their rather lame pick up lines before falling over a table. That was pretty funny actually.
So this Saturday night we head out to the infamous Toads Place in New Haven CT. There we will see these men in a much smaller, much filthier yet much more controlled environment.

See I have a funny feeling FYS brings out the beast in their fans. I love the absolute wild abandon of the pit for these guys. Ambulances will be standing by and I’m wearing safety goggles.
For a band that has such positivity their fans are positively nuts.
Those of you who are old enough to drive may remember a series on VH1 called Pop Up Video. These were music videos with ‘factoids’ placed here and there to sort of add some fun info to the song. Well that programming is dead and gone but FYS have done their own.
The video below is a good indication of not only the personality but the power of Four Year Strong.
I cannot wait for their show.
