American Bang! A great new rock-n-rock band from Nashville. These guys are just “Wild & Young” (first single), and have a great fresh sound to them.
Their self titled debut album was produced by the legendary Bob Rock. Whenever Bob Rock is involved in a production, you know it is going to be good.
Lead singer Jaren Johnston has that great southern twang in his voice. It shows big time in “Wild & Young”. Their balled is a great acoustic number called “Angels”. This song is so good. You will just love this song from the first few lines. By the time the chores comes on, you are hooked.
What I like about this band is that they don’t try to be the next big thing. By watching YouTube videos and doing some research on these guys, you can tell that they just want to have good time playing their music, and they want their audience to have a great time too.
The band consist of Johnston on vocals, Ben Brown on guitar, Kelby Ray on bass and Neil Mason on drums.
Stand out songs on this great debut disc are “Wild & Young”, “Angles”, “Rewind”, “Hurts Like Hell” and “All We Know”. Who am I kidding, all 11 songs are great. Love how they mention New York in “Roll On”
I hope they come to the NY area, and that I am able to check them out.
