I used to know Yo La Tengo’s Ira Kaplan when he wrote for Andy Schwartz at New York Rocker in the early 80s. And then I ran into him at a Yo La Tengo gig and he didn’t know who I was.
Point of the story? Actually, there wasn’t one. The list of people not too thrilled to renew my acquantance is a long and lustrous one. Ran into Patrick Stickles at the Hold Steady gig and I had to remind him who I was!
