Arcade Fire REach Los Angeles, Uber-Fan Alyson Camus Reviews The Setlist Before Catching The Show

Arcade Fire is at this moment putting the Shrine auditorium on fire, at least I can only imagine it, because I am only going tonight, their second night in LA.
I haven’t seen Thursday night set list yet, but I have the one of Big Sur where they played on Tuesday night.
So that’s 6 songs from ‘The Suburbs’, 7 songs from ‘Funerals’ and 4 from ‘Neon Bible’. Wow! Very heavy on the first album, will it be the same thing on Friday night?
They finished up by their two most bombastic songs, but no ‘Rococo’? I also wonder whether they can now get away with an ending without ‘Wake up’. Probably not, it is their curse.

‘Month of May’ and ‘Rebellion’ seem on the same tuning, so the transition is probably smooth and interesting. But, according to fans, it rained before the encore and they skipped ‘Intervention’. Colin Stetson is opening for the band with his saxophone, and has joined them on stage during their set.
I have read some reviews from fans who went to the show and even met the band and, according to them, Win Butler was extremely friendly and nice and ready to sign anything they presented to him from cell phones, to cigarette packs to hoodies. A true signing machine!

And a last thing, Joaquin Phoenix was spotted at that show.
