Well woo hoo it’s 2014 and whatever happened yesterday means pretty much nothing. You are sitting upon a clean calendar filled with promise and anticipation. Some of you have made some grand gesture resolutions. You’re going to eat healthy or work out or treat your loved ones better. Lets face it, it wont last the month. Don’t be so hard on yourself, you’ve made it this far in your life so I suggest rather than ‘starting new’ you keep on keeping on.
We here at rocknyc are steady and reliable. We have been coming at you for almost 5 years now and you can take comfort in the fact that we’re going to keep coming at you. Better? Improved? I don’t know, maybe but if its not a conscious effort. We don’t strive to be the best we don’t write to gain accolades. We, unlike most are brimming with opinion and some of it is pretty harsh. We wont change that.
There have been many times over the years when we could have become another cut and paste site full of self righteous popular opinion or obscurity so obscure no one even gives a fuck. From oddities like Elvis Depressedly to mega stars like Beyonce we will soup to nuts the spectrum and all the way keep true to our opinions. We encourage you to share yours with us. We have the comment section active not only for your hate mail but for your counter beliefs- use it, its your forum. We censor only if you threaten to kill me or worse. Otherwise go for it.
Along the way we have been touched by some amazing people. The fabulous Donna McElroy whos soul shines so bright she is a beacon for all of us, we love you and we send you our strength. The powerful Joseph McElroy who despite adversity helps us remain vital and growing. We are forever grateful for your input. To our latest addition John Pasquale for his contributions and ideas. All of our writers bring a unique element to the our site and good or bad (cuz Lord knows I don’t agree with a lot of it) it is the very fiber of what keeps us alive and kicking- and I do mean kicking
